Kitchen Picks Hub is an independent publication that covers the gear that earns its place in a working home kitchen. We don't publish unboxing videos, and we don't just reformat a press release. Every guide is compiled from manufacturer specifications, published performance data, and patterns in verified owner feedback before we say a word about it.
Why we exist
The kitchen-gear corner of the internet is full of affiliate-bait listicles built around whatever Amazon paid the highest commission on this week. Most of those guides are thin rewrites of manufacturer copy with little independent comparison behind them. The reviews that do exist are often shaped more by the brand's marketing department than by an honest look at the category.
We started Kitchen Picks Hub because we were tired of guides like that. The site you're reading is the resource we wished we'd had — a place where every recommendation is backed by research you can trace back to real specs and real owner feedback, laid out plainly instead of buried in marketing language.
Who we are
The Kitchen Picks Hub editorial team is a small group with a shared interest in kitchen gear — some with professional cooking backgrounds, some just deeply into their own category. Each contributor brings a specific set of obsessions, and that's reflected in the depth of our category coverage. Our coffee guides are compiled by someone with a specialty-coffee background; our cast-iron coverage by someone who restores antique pans as a hobby. Nobody on the team physically tests every product before we publish — our picks are research-based, not hands-on trial results.
How we make money
Kitchen Picks Hub does not currently run display advertising, and our reviews do not contain affiliate links. If that ever changes, this page and our disclosure page will say so plainly.
Crucially, no brand pays for placement in our roundups. Manufacturers occasionally pitch us on covering their products or offer ranking deals. We say no to all of them. The order of products in any of our guides reflects only how each one scores against our published rubric — see our research methodology.
Editorial standards
Every product we recommend is compiled from manufacturer specifications, published performance data, and patterns in verified owner feedback — not from a physical unit in our kitchen. Every roundup has been reviewed by at least one editor who did not write the original draft. When we get something wrong, we update the page with a dated note explaining what changed and why. When a product we've recommended is discontinued, redesigned, or quietly downgraded by the manufacturer, we go back and refresh the entry.
